I have always had a curiosity about the natural world. In fact, my earliest memories as a child are centered around a wide-eyed wonder at the complexity and beauty displayed in nature. I also enjoy the history and geography of Kansas, my home state. This blog is named after the book "Curious Naturalists" by Niko Tinbergen, which was given to me by my optometrist while I was the tender age of 10 years old.
